Gary Nichols:

Gary Nichols spent seven years with The SteelDrivers, stepping in for founding member Chris Stapleton in 2009. Nichols seemed an ideal replacement, with his soulful, bluesy voice. He recorded a pair of successful projects with the band, taking home a Grammy in the process. In 2017, Gary left the band, deciding it was time that he fully deal with his addictions.

Now, with a newfound passion for music, he returned to Bluegrass with "Fire In The Dark”, “This Time Around” and “Only Taking Me” which reached landed on both the Grassicana and Bluegrass Today charts. More recently, Gary is producing records on artists like The Band Loula, Shelly Fairchild, Kensie Coppin, Morgan Myles and more. With a heart for healing and a renewed drive for creativity, he spends his free time sharing hope through music and mentorship in rehabs, jails and prisons across the United States.
