Special guest Josh Matheny is one of Nashville's premier multi-instrumentalists, having performed and recorded with artists including Vince Gill, Ricky Skaggs, Kacey Musgraves, Ashley McBryde, Emmylou Harris, and Jerry Douglas. A Grand Ole Opry performer and master of the dobro, lap steel, guitar, and mandolin, Josh brings world-class musicianship to The Listening Room.

Joanna Serenko:

Joanna Serenko is a soulful singer-songwriter known for her emotive vocals and honest, introspective songwriting. Her artistry gained national recognition during her run on Season 18 of The Voice, where she captivated audiences with her distinctive tone and emotional depth. Blending elements of soul, pop, and indie influences, her music creates an intimate and expressive listening experience. Since 2025, Joanna has been touring the country full-time with her partner, Tyler Dale, connecting with audiences through heartfelt, stripped-down performances of her debut album Best of Me.

Tyler Dale:

Tyler Dale is a versatile country artist with a deep musical foundation, shaped by graduate-level studies in jazz guitar. Raised in a musical family, he grew up performing alongside his father, “Mountain Man” Dave Elder, and his sister, Kristen Anne, developing a rich, roots-driven sound. In 2023, he released his debut album Salutations, showcasing his blend of country storytelling and refined musicianship. Since 2025, Tyler has been touring the country full-time with his partner, Joanna Serenko, performing as a dynamic duo from their Airstream and bringing their music to audiences nationwide.

Josh Matheny:

Josh grew up in the small town of Magnolia, AR where he graduated from Magnolia High School in 2001 and was born into a family of bluegrass musicians. He began to grace the stage with them around the age of 3, singing and playing (strumming) mandolin. He started seriously learning to play guitar and sing at age 7 entering talent shows and playing festivals all around the TX,OK, LA, AR area. He began dobro and lap steel at age 12 and hasn’t looked back since. Josh had his own bluegrass band at age 16 until he moved to Nashville in the Summer of 2001 to begin Belmont University. He then started playing with Grand Ole Opry members The Whites. He has performed/recorded and/or did road gigs with artists such as SheDaisy, Ricky Skaggs, Vince Gill, Earl Scruggs, Meghan Trainor, Lucy Hale, Jo Dee Messina, Sara Evans, Ashley Monroe, Kacey Musgraves, Richard Marx, Hugh Jackman, Patty Loveless, Ashley McBryde, Rebecca Lynn Howard, Emmylou Harris, and Jerry Douglas... Josh has performed at the Grand Ole Opry a number of times and traveled overseas with country and bluegrass artists.
