Johnny Clawson:
Johnny Clawson is a Nashville-based songwriter and artist from Leesburg, Virginia. Signed to SMACK Songs in 2022, Johnny co-wrote Blake Shelton’s No. 1 single “Texas,” which had a record-breaking radio debut and was named one of the 10 Songs I Wish I’d Written by the Nashville Songwriters Association International — an honor that led him to perform it on the legendary Ryman Auditorium stage. He also co-wrote Ella Langley’s No. 1 hit single “weren’t for the wind,” which landed Top 20 on the Billboard Hot 100 and Top 5 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts, and recently went certified triple platinum. Johnny won Breakthrough Songwriter of the Year at the 2025 MusicRow Awards and was nominated for Song of the Year at the 2025 CMA Awards for his song “Texas.” Other credits include tracks by Kenny Chesney, Billy Currington, Redferrin, McCoy Moore, Austin Snell, Jon Pardi, Tyler Halverson, Ashley Cooke, Chris Young, Josh Ross, Tanner Usrey, Clayton Mullen, Jenna LaMaster, Seaforth, Ava Hall, and more.

Colton Venner:
Colton Venner is a Fort Worth, Texas–bred songwriter who signed a publishing deal with Concord in 2022.
His songs have been recorded by artists including Jon Pardi, Luke Grimes, Corey Kent, Larry Fleet, McCoy Moore, Tyler Farr, Vincent Mason, and Tyler Halverson. Some recent radio singles include “Never Call Again” by Gavin Adcock and “Psychological” by The Band Perry.
Beyond the writing room, Venner releases his own brand of Red Dirt country — raw, reflective songs rooted in hometown grit and real-life experience.

Matt Roy:
Born and raised in Glen Rock, New Jersey, and inspired by Bruce Springsteen, Tom Petty, and Eddie Vedder, Matt Roy began playing the guitar at the age of 8 and performing by 12. After moving to Nashville in 2014, Roy signed with Big Machine Music in 2022 and has since earned songwriting credits with artists including HARDY, Brothers Osborne, Riley Green, Kane Brown, Corey Kent, Morgan Wallen, Jordan Davis, Tucker Wetmore and William Beckmann to name a few. He also celebrated a No. 1 hit with “Done,” recorded by Chris Janson.
Known for his authentic storytelling and emotionally compelling lyrics, Roy is a standout songwriter with undeniable talent. His style blends rock influences and modern country, shaping a familiar yet fresh sound. With a growing catalog that includes major artist cuts and several solo writes, Matt is paving the way for the industry.
