The Sound:

New Red Street Records family trio The Sound is comprised of brothers Levi (lead vocals), Jacob Mills (acoustic guitar, vocals) and their father, Rob (bass, acoustic guitar, vocals). Third-generation musicians, the Mills brothers were raised on a steady diet of iconic vocal groups like Diamond Rio, Rascal Flatts and Shenandoah in their family’s Ford F-150. Growing up in Michigan, they learned to sing harmony at church, where their dad was a Worship Pastor, and initially moved to Nashville to pursue a career in gospel music. While their faith remains a foundational part of who they are, The Sound’s music has taken on the rural traditions of their midwestern upbringing and the emotional storytelling of the musical heroes that shaped their childhood. The trio’s signature three-part harmony became a viral phenomenon when The Sound began covering classic country songs with nothing more than an iPhone, raw vocals and natural stairwell acoustics. The series of reels earned the Dove Award-winning act more than 200 million views, 1 million followers and a slew of praise by major Country acts like Miranda Lambert, Rascal Flatts and Ernest across their social platforms in just under a year-and-a-half. They also garnered national attention on Season 21 of NBC’s America’s Got Talent, performing a highly praised version of John Denver’s “Take Me Home, Country Roads.” The Sound will release their original Keith Whitley-inspired heartbreak ballad, “Everything But Love,” Sept. 25, 2026.
