Tia Sillers is a Grammy Award winning songwriter who has had success with over 40 singles, including Lee Ann Womack’s“I Hope You Dance”, The Chicks’ “There’s Your Trouble,” and Kenny Wayne Shepherd’s, “Blue On Black.”

“I Hope You Dance" deeply connected with listeners and received worldwide exposure including the Nobel Prize awards ceremony and a adaption into a New York Times Best Selling book written by Sillers and her co-writer Mark D. Sanders. In addition winning Song of the Year at the 43rd Grammy Awards, “I Hope You Dance” was named Song of the Year by CMA, ACM, NSAI, ASCAP, BMI. The song enjoyed success in Europe with a rendition recorded by popular international vocalist Ronan Keating, and a version by Gladys Knight that was featured in the Tyler Perry film The Family That Preys.

Her songs run the genre gamut from country to heavy metal — whether it be Alan Jackson’s “That’d Be Alright” or Five Finger Death Punch’s rendition of of “Blue On Black”. Sillers helped cement Kenny Wayne Shepherd’s standing in the rock and blues scene with 1996’s “Deja Voodoo” and has continued writing multiple hits including the title track to his 2019 record “The Traveller”.Sillers’ work has also won Canadian CMA awards for Canadian artists such as Johnny Reid and Victoria Banks.
